During a visit to the Baneshwar Temple in Nasrapur village, volunteers observed a relatively low turnout. In response, they chose to broaden their outreach by distributing spiritual books throughout the village. The team parked their vehicles along the roadside near a row of fishermen’s stalls and began visiting homes and shops to share the literature.
As the distribution continued, one volunteer initially avoided approaching the fishermen’s stalls, presuming there would be little interest. However, this assumption was soon overturned when a fisherman repeatedly called out to him, asking to see the books he was carrying.
The fisherman carefully examined both the Bhagavad Gita and the Krishna Book, consulting with his family before making a decision. He ultimately chose the Bhagavad Gita, stating that he would read it first before proceeding to the Krishna Book, and completed the purchase.
The encounter served as a powerful reminder that spiritual interest exists across all walks of life, and that openness and humility are essential in ensuring that meaningful opportunities for outreach are not missed.
